Training Schedule and Forms for Caregivers

Training

Foster caregivers are required to complete 36 hours of pre-service training and 30 hours of training annually thereafter. Training is offered on a variety of topics that are integral to allowing caregivers to meet the needs of children in their care.

2/11 6-9pm

"Realize it's Time to Empathize with Drug Addicted Birth Parents" with Presidential Consultants. Childcare offered with prior reservation.


2/21  9am-noon

"Ignorance is not Bliss:  Teen Sex Trends, Choices, and Challenges" with Ronna Johnson. NO childcare offered.


3/12  6-9pm

"Understanding Therapeutic Needs of Crossover Youth" with Presidential Associates. Child care offered with prior reservation.


3/19  6-9pm

"Verbal De-Escalation" with Brian Lowery. Child care offered with prior reservation.


4/14  6-9pm

"Compassion Fatigue & the Caregiver" with DeeDee Prezioso. Child care offered with prior reservation.


4/30  6-9pm

"Understanding Reactive Attachment Disorder" with Presidential Associates. Child care offered with prior reservation.

Below are forms Cadence Care Network foster caregivers are required to complete on a monthly basis.

1. Daily Behavior Log

Use this document to help you monitor a child's daily progress and behavior


Turn this document in with your monthly census sheet


It is required that you fill out this form for all children placed in your home

2. Medication Log

Use this document to help you monitor a child's medication intake


Turn this document in with your monthly census sheet


It is required that you fill out this form for all children on medication in your home

3. Respite Care Report

Use this document whenever you care for a child in your home on a respite basis


Remember you must also complete daily behavior logs for these children as well


Return this form with the staff person returning your child from respite

4. Census Report

Fill out this form at the completion of every month and forward it to the fiscal department for reimbursement
